Imagine yourself in the darkness of space where you can hear no sound but surrounded by energy, lots of energy. You are an oblivion floating in space on a small ball look-a-like structure revolving around a baby monster. Hey! Space is not that bad as what you imagined in fact it is as peaceful as long as you are a small creature on a small planet. Beyond this there lies the spectacular cosmos hidden with improbable possibilities of happenings that are unexplored, undiscovered, and unexposed.
Beginning with the neighbours to the ultimate edge which we are unaware of has a variety of variations just like you are unaware of the sands on the beach. By default you won’t be able to count the number of stars in the night sky thereby in contrast to the sentence Carl Sagan wrote, “There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all of Earth’s beaches combined”. Yet, some people find the statement contradictory but putting that aside it’s just a comparison to make you understand how vast the cosmos is! If you try to imagine it with numerical values you might fail to realize its vastness. It’s just like you are fighting with a monster in a room thinking it as it is the only one but the reality seems to be pretty interesting, there are an infinite number of monsters unique in their nature sitting in an infinite number of rooms may or may not be waiting for you. Here the sentence gets quite complicated and difficult to understand and that’s the ground reality of Space Science whether you talk about Cosmology, Astrophysics and Astronomy, things aren’t the same.
It is not advisable to include numbers when you are talking philosophy as it may sound a bit hilarious. Maths is too beautiful when you express the universe in terms of it but sometimes too complicated to understand and not sure if unusual results make sense. Let’s not talk about the higher-order terms used in Astronomy but try to understand the depth with this small piece of article. In my childhood days, I used to point my flash of the torch in the night sky in the thought of who is going to receive my flashlight. I used to imagine where that flash will go unknowingly that loss of energy of the photon as I was a child. The thought continued and the photon is still traveling without losing its energy in the depth of space in search of another flashlight pointing towards it.
